The Deckerville Homecoming festival will be held on Friday, August 6, Saturday, August 7, and Sunday, August 8. Check back for more details.
Events for September
Deckerville's annual Oktoberfest celebration will be on Saturday, September 18. This is a fun filled family event. There will be crafters on Main Street all day, a tractor pedal pull, games and activities for the younger children and a tractor pull will be down at the park later in the afternoon. We will be having a jello eating contest, as well.
TAGPI is sponsoring a Halo 3 tournament again this year. It will start at 1 pm with the 4vs4 and continue after that with the 2vs2. The cost will be $5 again this year, with prize money being paid out to the top two teams in each event. Contact us here at TLC Used Books for more info or to register.
Events for October
There will be trick or treating on Main Street again this year. Last year, we were lucky enough to have Jason Voorheis (Friday the 13th) at our store to hand out candy. I heard through the grapevine that he will be back (go figure). I also heard he may be bringing a "friend" with him. Does Jason actually have any friends? Hmm, I guess you'll have to stop by and check it out, if you dare!
